Isese known in the west as Ifa/Yoruba is the parent religion of the New World derivatives such as Santeria. In Nigeria traditional practitioners of this ancient spiritual tradition are campaigning to be granted national holidays just like the two dominant non-indigenous religions, Islam and Christianity. This summer the traditional religious leadership asked me to film their one day Isese Celebration and produce a 28 minute piece for broadcast in Nigeria. This is the piece geared for Nigeria. Western viewers not in the religion will miss explanatory voice over. Just enjoy the pageantry!
