Ksang Village Homes Flyers

This is an attempt to start a discussion on the project and any information and ideas that you have will be appreciated.  The Ksang Village Committee is still working out the logistics and plannings so that the project can kick off as soon as possible.  Part of the planning in the works is sourcing for mortgage financing options that will be ideal and affordable to us.  We are currently screening couple of developers for the estate.  Here are some highlights: 

Activities of the KVC to-date: end of August, 2009

Ø  A new Developer’s proposal was received and is being vetted by the PTT.

Ø   A technical delegation from KVC will visit Tiahco Thermal Panel Industry, a developer based in Trinidad and Tobago with partners in The United States and Nigeria,  to perform a tour of their factory and perform a feasibility studies on their new energy-efficient and cost-saving product that is appropriate for construction in Nigeria. The visit is scheduled for first week in September and it is on course. 

Ø  Selection of a Land Surveyor and award of topographic survey contract has been effected.

Ø  Registration of KSANG Homes International in Nigeria in progress.

Ø  Nearly sixty prospective buyers have committed themselves by making their down payments. Total balance in the project account stands above $20,000.00 as of August 22, 2009.

Ø  Project Flyers and posters have been published, part of which were distributed at the recently concluded ODUNA convention in Houston at which the association was represented by the KVC public relation director, Mr. Jude Rotimi (me). Lately, some were distributed also at the DC chapter picnic. Some were also distributed at some functions in the Seattle area to both kwarans and kwaran associates. The KVC proposes to send the rest to the other chapters for circulation. In the meantime, you are free to download the copies in the link above and circulate generously. 

Ø  The new WEBSITE (www.ksang.org) for the association  is now up and running.  Kudo to our Web Master, Mr. Ganiyu Adebayo. Registration of members on the site has been going on smoothly. More than one hundred people have registered and on the master list so far. Thanks to the persistent  effort of Mr. President and the Web Master. Please encourage your friends and relatives of Kwara origin to register and belong.  All they have to do is go to www.ksang.org and register at the bottom left corner, it is easy and simple.

Ø  A new office space in Ilorin on Unilorin road, Fate is being donated for the association use  as a satellite office for the project by Mr. Wahab Olasehinde, a DC chapter member. The office would be furnished and equipped very soon and is expected to go into operation this October.  We thank Mr. Wahab for his generosity.
